I and You Audition

Los Altos Stage Company announces auditions for the second show of our 2020/2021 Season, I and You written by Lauren Gunderson and directed by Jeffrey Lo.

While this is still an extremely challenging and uncertain time for us and our arts colleagues in the Bay Area and beyond, we feel it is important that we continue to move forward with plans for the future while remaining open and flexible to change as more information becomes available. For this show, we are adjusting our traditional audition process to maintain appropriate social distancing and respect shelter in place orders. We would like actors interested in auditioning to send a recorded one minute monologue along with their headshot and resume. After a review of submissions, selected actors will be sent sides and be asked to submit a video callback.

Performance dates: Running November 6, 2020- November 29, 2020.

Auditions: If you are interested in auditioning for this show, please email your headshot, resume and 1 minute recorded monologue to allie.bailey@losaltosstage.org by Friday, August 7, 2020.

Callbacks: Sides will be electronically sent to those individuals called back and callbacks will be submitted via video.

Rehearsals: will begin Sunday, Sept. 27, 2020. Rehearsals will be held evenings 5 days a week (Sundays-Thursdays).

Actor Compensation*: $450 for rehearsals and performances. All roles are non-AEA. (*This is paid in accordance with California guidelines on AB5 and will be paid as a per diem). Please forward all questions to Allie Bailey at alliebailey@losaltosstage.org.

Character Breakdown: Both roles open to all ethnicities & gender identities*. Ages should be representative.

Caroline: A girl, seventeen. Cynical, over it, doesn’t let a stray “feeling” near the surface.

Anthony: A boy, seventeen. Neat, poised, mature for his age.
