Summer 2017 Camps and Youth Workshops

Los Altos Stage Company is excited to offer the following performing arts camps and workshops during the summer of 2017. All camps and workshops take place at the Bus Barn Theater in Los Altos.

Broadway Babies (Ages 4-6)REGISTER
June 12 to June 16
9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Cost: $225.00/child*

Bring your little performers to a camp aimed to help them learn the basics of theater, dance and singing! Each day they will enhance their skills, craft set decorations and props, play games and practice the show that they will perform on the final day of class at noon. There will be a lunch break so come prepared.

Up & Comers: Building a Star! (Ages 7-11)REGISTER
June 19 June 23
10:00 am – 2:00 pm
Cost $225.00/child*

Every day of the week your young actor will learn a different skill or technique that will help them grow and improve in their craft. This camp will be full of fun and your child will leave with a great experience and new abilities. Please note: There will be a lunch break so come prepared.

Summer Musical – Into the Woods (Ages 12-18)REGISTER
June 12 to July 2
9:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost: $875.00/participant

Join us in putting together an entire show in THREE WEEKS! Auditions and callbacks will happen on the first day and the following day rehearsals will begin! The performers will work on their singing, dancing and acting while ending the camp with a weekend of performances! The camp will take places Monday – Friday with performances on the final weekend – Thursday, Friday and Saturday night as well as Saturday and Sunday afternoon. There will be a lunch break during camp so come prepared.

Up & Comers: Fantasy Travelers ( Ages 7-11)REGISTER
July 24 to August 4
9:00 am – 1:00 pm
Cost: $450.00/child*

Travel from story to tale as you enter this imaginative production aimed just for your students! Performers will spend time every day working on their acting, dancing, and singing while helping to build and paint the sets and props! The final afternoon will culminate in a lunchtime performance for family and friends. There will be a lunch break so plan accordingly.

Broadway Bound: Musical Theater Workshop (Ages 12-18)REGISTER
July 31 to August 4
10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost: $250.00/participant

If you love to sing, dance and act, you will love this workshop! We will spend one week learning solo’s and/or duets, the scenes that lead into them, and some group song and dance numbers. Students will get one on one time with vocal, acting, and dance coaches. The week will end with a recital featuring everything the students have learned! There will be a lunch break so plan accordingly.

Mainstage Workshop: Acting Against Your Type (ages 12-18)REGISTER
August 7 to August 11
10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Cost: $250.00/participant

This one week workshop will give your performer a chance to play a character they feel they never get a chance at. Students will need to come in prepared with a monologue on the first day and will then be cast in a scene the instructor feels they could play well. The next day they will also receive a scene as a type of character they have always wanted to play. They will get one on one feedback in character development from the instructor as well as work and receive feedback from their fellow actors. The week will finish out with a performance of all the scenes they have learned. There will be a lunch break so come prepared.

Broadway Babies 2 (ages 4-6)REGISTER
August 7 to August 11
9:00 am to 1:00 pm
Cost: $225.00/child*
Join our second week of camp for a whole new production! Students will continue to learn and work on their acting, singing and dancing as well as creating their sets and props. There will be a performance at noon during their final day of camp. There will be a lunch break, so come prepared.

* Aftercare available by previous arrangement with Camp Director Jillian Cummings for additional hourly fee.

PLEASE NOTE CANCELLATION POLICY: Refunds will be given to cancellations done 4 or more weeks prior to camp start date, less a $50 processing fee. Cancellations made between 2 and 4 weeks prior to camp start will receive a 50% refund. There will be NO REFUND for cancellations made less than 2 weeks before camp start date.
