Tiny Beautiful Things Audition

Los Altos Stage Company announces auditions for the first show of our 2020/2021 Season, Tiny Beautiful Things based on the book by Cheryl Strayed, adapted for the stage by Nia Vardalos, and directed by Jeffrey Lo.

While this is an extremely challenging and uncertain time for us and our arts colleagues in the Bay Area and beyond – with the fate of the remainder of our current season and summer programs in question – we feel it is important that we continue to move forward with plans for the future while remaining open and flexible to change as more information becomes available. For this show, we are adjusting our traditional audition process to maintain appropriate social distancing and respect shelter in place orders. After a review of submitted headshots and resumes, selected actors will be sent sides and be asked to submit a video callback.

Based on the acclaimed book by Cheryl Strayed (author of the best-selling Wild), Tiny Beautiful Things follows Sugar, an online advice columnist who uses her personal experiences to help the real-life readers who pour their hearts out to her. Tiny Beautiful Things is a play about reaching when you’re stuck, healing when you’re broken, and finding the courage to take on the questions that have no answers.
