Youth Theater Camps 2020

Broadway Babies (Ages 4-6)
Bring your little performers to a camp aimed to help them learn the basics of theater, dance and singing! Each day they will enhance their skills, craft set decorations and props, play games and practice the show that they will perform on the final day of class at noon.  Each session will be different. Please note: There will be a lunch and snack break.

Rising Stars Show Moana Jr    (Ages 7-13)
Come sail away on a summer full of adventure with Disney’s Moana Jr!!!! From the hit movie comes this amazing show with hit songs such as “How Far I’ll Go”, “Shiny” and “You’re Welcome”! Students will audition and experience callbacks on the first day, and start rehearsing for the show the next day! Within three weeks they have a show with costumes, lights, sets and get 5 chances to share that with an adoring audience! These spots fill up fast so don’t miss out!

Musical Theatre Workshop (Ages 10-18)
Spend a week immersed in the melodic stories of musical theater. Each student will get a chance to work on scenes and songs with small and large groups, challenging themselves with different styles and characters. An accompanist will be present during class to immerse the students further into live music. The class will end with a final performance during camp hours, culminating their weeks work. Please note: there will be a lunch break.

Technical Theater Workshop (Ages 10-18)
Does working behind the scenes instead of in front of them sound good to you? This camp will give the attendants an introduction to all things theater tech! They will get a chance to help build and paint sets, learn about lighting and working the board, measuring sound levels, costume and prop construction, and much more! Students will also run the technical aspects for the camp production of Moana Jr.  A great way to learn more about how a show really comes to life! Please note: There will be a lunch break.

Broadway Bound Show: Heathers High School Edition (Ages 14-19)
You asked for it and you got it! Our first teen camp will put on a production of Heathers: High School Edition in THREE WEEKS! Students will audition on the first day and participate in callbacks, and rehearsals start from the second day on! Students will also help with set painting, props, costumes and more – learning what it really takes to put on a show and taking real ownership of what they putting on the stage! On the final week they will have 5 different chances to show their skills off to an audience. Please note: There will be a lunch break.

Film Acting and Production (Ages 10-18)
Lights, Camera, ACTION! Get ready for a brand new style of acting! This camp will work on the differences between acting for film and acting for theatre while also teaching camera techniques, different ways to film different styles of movies, editing – and more! A huge success each year – don’t miss out! Please note: There will be a lunch break.

Master-It-All Class (Ages 8-18)
This is the class for the performer who wants to learn it all! The first day each student will be given a basic introduction into acting, dancing, singing, and more! From there they will divided into two groups and each day work on two different styles of performance with two different amazing teachers. This is a fast-moving camp covering many different styles. If your actor loves performing, this is the class for them!

LASC Summer Camp Cancellation Policy

If enrollment is cancelled before March 31st there will be a $10.00 processing fee. Enrollment cancelled between April 1st and June 1st will be subject to a $50.00 processing fee. There will be no refund after June 1st. A $10.00 transfer fee will apply to switching sessions.
