Significant Other Auditions

Los Altos Stage Company is holding open auditions for Significant Other by Joshua Harmon.

From the critically acclaimed playwright of Admissions, Joshua Harmon, comes an affecting and hilarious play about finding and lacking love.  Significant Other follows Jordan, a single young professional with a close group of female friends who slowly drift away as they each get married, while he searches for his own “Mr. Right.”  This New York Times Critics’ Pick revels in the paradox of feeling old when you’re still young and the sometimes crushing loneliness that comes with growing up.  With humor and humanity, Significant Other offers a relatable portrait of 20-something urban life and the seemingly endless string of weddings that accompany it.

Performance dates: Wednesdays through Sundays, from September 7 through October 1, 2023. Wednesday-Saturday performances start at 8pm. Sundays start at 3pm.

Audition date: Saturday, May 13, 2023 from 10 am to 2 pm. 

Where: Grant Park, 1575 Holt Ave, Los Altos

Callbacks: Sunday, May 21, 2023 from 10am to 1pm.

Rehearsals: Weekly: Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays 7-10pm until tech and performance weeks, which will be evenings from 6-10pm 

Audition requirements:  Please prepare a one- to two-minute contemporary comedic monologue. Please sign up for a slot on our sign-up genius.
