Casting Notice – Yoga Play

Los Altos Stage Company is holding open auditions for Yoga Play by Dipika Guha

Directed by Gary Landis

In this engaging and thought-provoking play, we follow Joan, a savvy marketing director at a yoga apparel company, who finds herself navigating a public relations crisis stemming from a scandal involving her CEO. Joined by her quirky assistants, Fred and Raj, the trio embarks on a humorous and insightful journey as they strive to salvage the company’s reputation. Throughout the unfolding narrative, the play delves into significant themes such as consumerism, cultural appropriation, and the quest for spiritual authenticity, all while cleverly exposing the Western world’s obsession with yoga. As the story progresses, it poses the compelling question: how far will Western consumer capitalism go to profit from Eastern spirituality?
