Los Altos Stage Company is holding open auditions for Ruthless, The Musical! Music by Marvin Laird, Lyrics and Book by Joel Paley

Eight-year-old Tina Denmark knows she was born to play Pippi Longstocking, and she’ll do anything to win the part in her school musical. Her mother, fellow students, and the rest of the world had better watch out because nothing will stop her quest for stardom!! Cunningly spoofing classic musicals and campy films from Gypsy to The Bad Seed, this aggressively outrageous musical garnered rave reviews during its long Off-Broadway run.
Performance dates: Wednesday through Sunday, May 27 – June 26, 2022. Wednesday-Saturday performances start at 8pm. Sundays start at 3pm.
Audition date: Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 1pm-4pm.
Where: Los Altos Stage Company Theatre (97 Hillview Ave, Los Altos)
Callbacks: Saturday, November 27, 2021 from 3-6pm.
Rehearsals: Weekly, Sunday through Thursday, from 6pm-9pm (Sundays) and 7pm-10pm (Monday-Thursday). Rehearsals begin Sunday, April 17, 2022.
Actor Acknowledgement: All roles are volunteer and non-AEA. A $15 meal per diem will be provided for all rehearsal and performance days to which the actor is called and attends as a thank you for volunteering their time.
Audition requirements: Please prepare 32 bars of a song in the style of the show, but not from the show.

- Sylvia St. Croix/Ruth DelMarco: a talent agent
- Betty Lerman/Eve: Mother of Louise, the girl Tina killed, and Ginger’s assistant
