Daniel P. Wilson
Associate Artistic Director
A professional Producer, Director, Actor, and Arts Educator, Dan joined Los Altos Stage Company as Production Manager in the summer of 2012 and made his debut on The Bus Barn Theater stage soon thereafter as Bill in On Golden Pond. He is a seventh generation native of San Jose, California, is a graduate of the Pacific Conservatory of the Performing Arts in Santa Maria, CA and holds a BFA in Directing from Roosevelt University in Chicago, IL.
His background includes serving in a number of Arts Management roles with the nation’s largest theater for youth, Children’s Musical Theater San Jose, working as a Commercial Casting Session Director for more than two dozen of LA’s top Casting Directors, as a freelance Copywriter, and as a Recruiter in the corporate realm. Dan has performed in more than 40 stage productions, appeared in a dozen commercials, and in a handful of television and film projects. He has worked as a Director, Directing Assistant, or Arts Educator with the Goodman and Vitalist Theatres in Chicago, with Sweden’s Teater Magnolia, Stockholms Stadsteater, Riksteatern, and locally with CMTSJ, Peninsula Youth Theatre, Oakwood High School, the Community School of Music & Art, and Willow Glen High School. Dan also founded his own theatre company while living in Sweden, The New Reality Theatre. He sits on the Steering Committee of genARTS Silicon Valley and has been a Steering Sub-Committee Member with Directors Lab West.
